Wallet Import issues

In this article, we’re going to show you how to avoid Wallet Import issues in CoinTracking.

First of all, please ensure the entered wallet address is not empty.

Check the address using an online Blockchain Explorer (for example: blockchain.com for BTC or etherscan.io for ETH addresses).

Make sure you copied and entered the address correctly. No spaces, additions or missing digits.

We are improving the blockchain importers daily. Please refer to this article: My blockchain transactions are not imported correctly. Why?
For now you can only add/adjust transactions manually if transactions are missing or wrongly imported.

Please note: Hardware wallet devices are sometimes generating a new address for each and every transaction, a special example are BTC wallets. In these cases, we recommend using the xpub address for BTC transactions, in order to be able to import all transactions accordingly.

Here's a short example on how to retrieve the xpub address if you are using Ledger Live (If you use hardware wallets other than Ledger, please contact the manufacturer for information on obtaining the xpub address.):

To retrieve the xpub address in Ledger Live, open the Ledger Live Desktop App, click on "Accounts", select your BTC Account and click on the wrench icon of your BTC account.

After expanding the advanced logs section, you'll find the xpub address.
