Import of NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens)

TL;DR:

NFTs can be automatically imported via blockchain importers for ETH, BSC, AVAX, LUNA, MATIC, FTM, and TRX. Each NFT is given a unique ticker for accurate tax reporting. You can also manually add NFTs or convert existing coins into NFTs by setting custom prices. Use the NFT Center to track your NFT portfolio.

Which blockchains support NFT imports?

Currently supported blockchains for NFT import via blockchain importers:

  • Ethereum (ETH)

  • Binance Smart Chain (BSC)

  • Avalanche (AVAX)

  • Terra (LUNA)

  • Polygon (MATIC)

  • Fantom (FTM)

  • TRON (TRX)

Support for additional blockchains is in progress.

How are NFTs displayed in CoinTracking?

NFTs imported via blockchain importers follow this structure:

  • Currency/TickerN-<alphanumeric> (e.g., N-12341A)

  • Comment field: Includes the NFT’s name and Token ID

This unique ticker format ensures each NFT is treated individually, which is essential for accurate tax calculation.

Important: If you're entering or editing NFTs manually, always use a unique ticker per NFT to maintain proper reporting.

Can I set a custom price for NFTs or convert coins into NFTs?

Yes. There are two main uses for the custom price feature:

  1. Set a custom price for coins or NFTs not listed on any exchange

  2. Convert coins into NFTs, which makes them visible in the NFT Center

How do I add an unlisted NFT or token manually?

  1. Go to the Transactions page and click "New".

  2. Enter the transaction details and click "Add transaction".

  3. The coin will now be in your portfolio, but may not yet display a value.

How do I set a custom price or convert a coin into an NFT?

  1. On the Transactions page, look at the coin summary on the right.

  2. Locate your newly added coin and click on the 0 BTC value beside it.

  3. This opens the Custom Prices & NFTs section.

  4. Search for your coin and click the edit icon.

  5. In the dialog box:

    • Enter a custom price.

    • Enable "Convert to NFT" if applicable.

    • Optionally enable "Force Custom Price" to ignore market feeds.

  6. Click "Update" to save.

Your NFT will now appear in the NFT Center, and your custom price will be used across reports.
