The API Live Data shows your reported balances provided via API or the blockchain imports.
This reported balance only reflects the data provided by the API/Blockchain and has no connection with the actual data imported into CoinTracking.
By contrast, the Balance by Exchange shows the balances based on all transactions imported and calculated into CoinTracking.
If data is missing or imported incorrectly, the numbers will differ from your reported balance.
Data received from exchanges via API/CSV or the blockchain importers is not always accurate due to limitations/restrictions or incomplete data.
Data provided by the blockchain imports might also lack specific identification of transactions, which can cause the wrong assignment of transaction types.
Therefore, please always double-check your imported data to ensure that the transactions have been imported correctly by the API/blockchain importers.
