What's new on your Dashboard

TL;DR:
The Dashboard has been redesigned with customizable widgets, improved portfolio calculations, responsive layouts, and additional portfolio insights. You can now choose how your portfolio values are sourced — either Reported Balance (uses live data from connected exchanges and wallets) or Calculated Balance (derived from imported transactions, matches the behavior of the old Dashboard). New accounts default to Reported; users coming from the old Dashboard default to Calculated to preserve the previous behavior.

2. Dashboard customization

The Dashboard can be customized from the top-right corner.

Balance source

Click the Balance source icon to choose where the Dashboard sources your portfolio values. The selection applies to balances, allocation, and totals across all widgets.

  • Reported — uses the balance from each exchange or wallet’s most recent sync. Accounts without an API connection fall back to the calculated value. This is the default for new accounts.

  • Calculated — uses balances derived from your imported transaction history only. Reported data is ignored, and assets that exist only as a live-reported position are hidden from the Dashboard. This matches the behavior of the old Dashboard and is the default for users migrating from it.

Edit Layout

Click the ✏️ Widgets button to:

  • Enable or disable widgets

  • Switch between presets:

    • Basic

    • Advanced

    • All

  • Restore the default layout with Reset to defaults

The widget panel now opens directly as a sidebar overlay on the Dashboard.
Enabled widgets are highlighted in blue and can be toggled on or off individually.

While Edit Layout mode is active:

  • Widgets can be repositioned via drag & drop

  • Widgets can be removed directly using the ❌ icon on each widget

  • Changes are applied immediately

On mobile devices, drag & drop is disabled.

4. Why are some numbers different from the old Dashboard?

Reported Balance vs. Calculated Balance

The new Dashboard lets you choose how portfolio values are sourced via the Balance source icon in the top-right corner. There are two definitions:

  • Reported Balance = balance reported by the exchange or wallet at the last sync

  • Calculated Balance = balance derived from imported transactions

Reported

For each account, we check whether a reported balance is available. If yes, we use it. If not, we fall back to the calculated balance. When an asset is held across multiple accounts, this rule is applied per account and the results are summed. API-connected exchanges and wallets typically have a reported balance; CSV imports and manual entries typically do not.

A warning icon appears when at least one account holding the asset has both a reported and calculated balance, and the two don't match. Accounts without a reported balance are never flagged as a discrepancy.

Calculated

Only balances derived from imported transactions are used. Reported data is ignored, and assets that exist only as a live-reported position (e.g. a position visible via API but with no transaction history imported) are hidden from the Dashboard.

This mode matches the behavior of the old Dashboard. Switch to it if you want numbers that align with the previous Dashboard.

More information can be found in the Balance Check FAQ

Negative balances are now visible

Negative balances were hidden on the old Dashboard.

The new Dashboard displays negative balances in red so missing imports or incorrect transactions can be identified more easily.

5. Frequently Asked Questions

Why are my numbers different from the old Dashboard?

If you used the old Dashboard, your account defaults to Calculated Balance to keep numbers consistent with the previous behavior. New accounts default to Reported Balance.

If your numbers still look different, check which source is selected via the Balance source icon in the top-right corner. Calculated matches the old Dashboard; Reported uses the most recent sync data from connected exchanges and wallets, which can differ from your imported history.

Will my old layout settings carry over?

No.

The old Dashboard settings are not transferred to the new widget system.

Why did my layout reset?

Dashboard layouts are stored locally in your browser.

Changing devices, browsers, clearing cookies, or using private browsing mode may reset the layout.

Can I resize widgets?

No.

Widget sizes are currently fixed.

What does the ⚠ warning icon mean?

The warning icon indicates a mismatch between imported balances and reported live balances on accounts where both exist. It only appears when the balance source is set to Reported.

Why is the Dashboard locked on a new account?

Accounts without imported transactions display:

Your portfolio is waiting

Import transactions to activate the Dashboard.
