How to use the Blockchain Importer

In this article, we will guide you on how to effectively use the CoinTracking Blockchain Importers. Our platform supports over 300 blockchains, allowing you to import a wide range of blockchain addresses with ease.

This article is separated into three sections:

1) Importing data by using the blockchain importer

2) Importing data by using the altcoin importer

3) Removal/Blacklisting of Scam Tokens

1) Importing data by using the blockchain importer

Hover over to "Imports" -> "Quick Access" and choose the blockchain filter in order to select the blockchain which you want to import with our Blockchain Importer (you can also directly search for the blockchain via the search bar):

After you selected the blockchain, please enter your wallet address in the dedicated address field. Alternatively, you can also set a custom wallet name for your blockchain import, in order to maintain a clean overview of all your imported wallets.

Now click on Import in order to import all data of your wallet address.

Once you have imported your blockchain data, you can click on your wallet address in order to directly jump to the block explorer page of the specific blockchain.

We try to cover the majority of available blockchains with our importers. If your desired blockchain is not supported yet, you can enter the transactions manually on the Transactions page or use our bulk importers: Excel Import or Custom Import.

Please note: It's important to understand how the Custom Importer works, in order to import data into CoinTracking. We have created an article, where we explain how to use the Custom Importer: Custom Importer FAQ

2) Importing data by using the altcoin importer

In case you need to import a specific altcoin, which doesn't show up on our blockchain importer list, please see the following guide on how to use the altcoin importer:

1) Hover over the "Import" -> "Quick Access" button and click on "Blockchain"

2) Click on "200+ more Altcoins (...)"

3) Search for your blockchain in the drop-down menu

4) Enter your wallet address

5) We recommend to set a custom exchange name

6) Click on "Save this Wallet Transaction job" to import the transactions

Please note that the altcoin importer is not managed by us. Therefore we have no

influence on the imported data for these blockchains.

If there is an issue with the import, please contact https://chainz.cryptoid.info

3) Removal/Blacklisting of Scam Tokens

When importing transactions via API or Blockchain Import, you may receive coins that you have never actually traded before.

These coins are airdropped into your wallet and may have no value or a false value, which can distort your portfolio. You can find more information on how to remove/blacklist such coins in the following article: How to Remove and Prevent the Re-Import of Scam Tokens
