The CoinTracking affiliate program operates as a traditional referral system. When you click on a referral/affiliate link, it becomes stored as a cookie in the web browser of your device. There could be multiple reasons why the discount did not apply to your purchase:
- No discount is applied at all if the user deletes their cookies in the web browser before the purchase. The reason is that the cookie responsible for the discount is specifically saved in the web browser of the device used to activate the affiliate/referrer link.
- No discount is applied at all if you initially click on the referrer link in/on one device/web browser but the actual upgrade takes place in/on a different device/web browser. Consequently, the link would not be active during the upgrade process and therefore the discount not be applied.
- Special case: If another referral code is clicked, it will overwrite the existing one which can lead to the situation where the discount for the purchase is applied but the commission pay is not granted to the originally intended referrer.
CoinTracking has no control over how or which discount links customers use as the choice of which link to use for upgrading an account lies entirely with the user.
To ensure an issue-free execution, we strongly advise re-clicking the referral link before proceeding with the upgrade. Whenever possible, it is best to conduct the upgrade immediately using the same device/web browser on/in which the link was activated.
