Dashboard Total Value and 24h Trends Explained

TL;DR: Values shown on the dashboard (like "Total Value of All Coins") are updated every 10 minutes to improve performance. The 24h change values are calculated precisely, while full dashboard figures may briefly lag behind other reports like Balance by Exchange.

How often is the total value updated on the dashboard?

Dashboard totals (for coins, commodities, currencies, and overall account value) only refresh if the current value is older than 10 minutes. This speeds up page load times compared to detailed reports.

If you make any transaction edits (add, adjust, or delete), the values refresh immediately.

Why do dashboard values sometimes differ from other reports?

Because dashboard values update less frequently than specific reports (like Daily Balance or Balance by Exchange), there may be brief discrepancies. These differences are usually temporary and due to the 10-minute caching interval.

What is the “Total Value of All Coins” compared to?

This value is compared against the final value from the previous day's Daily Balance. Depending on when you're viewing it, this comparison can be between 24 hours and 47:59:59 hours old.

The Daily Balance Page:

Where can I see when the last refresh happened?

At the very bottom right of the Transactions page, there is a small timer that shows when the last data refresh occurred.

How are the 24h trends calculated?

The percentage and absolute 24h changes (like for "All Coins" or "All Fiat") are updated to the minute, relative to the exact value from the same time the day before. This includes price changes from:

  • Coins

  • Fiat currencies

  • Commodities

  • Exchange rates

  • Account currency changes

Summary

The dashboard gives a near-real-time snapshot of your portfolio, with full-value refreshes every 10 minutes and precise 24-hour trend calculations. For exact values, consult the Daily Balance or Balance by Exchange pages.
