TL;DR: The Number of Trades & Transactions page visualizes how frequently transactions occur in your CoinTracking account. It allows you to group, filter, and compare transaction counts over time, making it a useful tool for analyzing trading activity patterns and preparing reports.
Chart Overview
Main Graph Area
The main chart displays the number of transactions over time.
Hovering over a bar reveals the exact transaction count and the corresponding date, for example “March 2024: 319 Transactions”.
View Modes
You can change the chart type using the leftmost dropdown menu. Available options include:
Column, showing vertical bars per time period
Column (stacked), stacking grouped components for cumulative comparison
Area, displaying a smooth area chart
Area (summed), combining all groups into a single filled chart

Grouping Options
The second dropdown controls how transactions are grouped:
Not grouped, aggregating all transactions
Grouped by exchange, allowing comparison across exchanges such as Kraken or Bitget
Grouped by trade group, showing transactions by wallet or user-defined category
Grouped by transaction type, displaying categories such as Deposit, Trade, or Staking
Time Interval
The third dropdown defines the date granularity:
By day
By month (default)
By year
Currency Filter
Using the All Currencies dropdown, you can:
View all transactions (default)
Filter the chart to a single currency, such as BTC, ETH, or USDT
Advanced Filtering
Clicking the Filter (xx/xx) button opens an advanced filtering panel with extensive options:
Transaction types, with 46 selectable categories such as Trade, Airdrop, or Staking
Incoming and outgoing sections to separate transaction directions
Exchange selection to limit the chart to specific platforms
Group selection for wallets or user-defined groups
Period of time selection using start and end date pickers
Filters are applied using Apply filters and can be adjusted at any time.
Export and Chart Options
Using the menu icon in the top-right corner of the chart, you can:
View the chart in full screen
Print the chart
Download the chart as PNG, JPEG, PDF, or SVG
