TL;DR: The Coin Price Calculator allows you to calculate the current or historical value of one currency in relation to another. It supports digital assets, fiat currencies, and commodities, making it useful for reviewing past trades, checking historical prices, or comparing asset values on a specific date.
Input Fields
On the left side of the page, the input form contains the following fields:
Amount
Enter the quantity of the currency you want to convert, for example 1.
Currency
Select or enter the base currency you want to convert from. This can be a cryptocurrency, fiat currency, or commodity, such as BTC, EUR, or Gold.
Convert into
Select or enter the target currency you want to convert into. Supported types include cryptocurrencies, fiat currencies, and commodities.
Date
Specify the date on which the conversion should be based. This allows the calculator to use historical price data for the selected currency pair.
Result Display
On the right side of the page, the result area shows the calculated conversion value.
If required inputs are missing or invalid, the message: “Enter the amount and currency you want to convert.” is displayed.
Once all fields are filled correctly, the tool displays the equivalent value based on the selected currencies and date.
Usage Example
For example, you can enter an amount of 1, select BTC as the base currency, USD as the target currency, and choose the date 22.05.2025. The calculator will then display the equivalent USD value of 1 BTC on that date.
This makes the tool especially useful for reviewing historical trades, analyzing long-term price developments, or comparing asset values across different time periods.
Notes
Ensure that currency symbols are entered correctly
Historical pricing depends on the availability of market data
No calculation is performed until all required fields are filled
The calculator can also be used in reverse, for example to convert EUR to BTC
